toyouRoute Genie, the advanced carrier management software, has secured a partnership with toyou, Asda’s new parcel service, to help retailers provide more choice and convenience to online shoppers. Retailers using the Route Genie platform can now offer their customers the option of picking up their online purchases at an Asda store.

Launched in 2015, toyou enables third-party retailers to offer consumers the ability to collect or return their online orders through any of Asda’s network of 626 stores across the UK. Under the terms of the agreement, toyou’s collection service will be seamlessly integrated with the Route Genie platform, ensuring that all retailers using the innovative software to manage their consumer deliveries will be able to offer increased flexibility and choice.

Route Genie already integrates with each of the leading domestic and international carriers, allowing retailers to process and manage those providers efficiently with increased control and visibility. This includes a track and trace feature whilst retailers can also manage all personalised communications sent to consumers.

Route Genie has played a fundamental part of the iForce proposition for numerous years and continues to underpin iForce Pathfinder, the company’s carrier management solution. Due to its success, the solution was also launched as a SaaS (Software as a Service) application last year.

Paul Anastasiou, Senior Director of Business Development, Asda, said: “We know customers want more convenience and flexibility when it comes to their shopping experience and our toyou service offers a smart and robust solution which covers our vast network, including our stores and Click and Collect points. Route Genie is already working with many of our online retailer partners to streamline deliveries so it’s a natural partnership and we look forward to a successful relationship.”

Richard Tucker, Head of Sales, iForce Group and Route Genie, said: “Route Genie is a highly innovative product that allows retailers to better manage carrier relationships, increasing efficiency and leading to significant cost savings. By combining with one of the UK’s most recognisable brands we will jointly be able to offer online shoppers the chance to pick up their online purchases from their nearest Asda store, or perhaps when doing their weekly shop. The partnership has convenience and choice at its very heart.”
