Maxoptra will be announcing the latest version of its cloud-based software for managing transport operations at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2016. Taking place at the NEC Birmingham, 26 to 28 April, Maxoptra’s software is aimed at transport operations that require real-time scheduling and accurate, continually updated ETAs.
The software is designed to handle complexities such as transport operations that require both pre-planning and then re-scheduling once vehicles have departed – to respond to changing delivery and collection requirements.
Maxoptra’s real-time routing and scheduling can be performed not only on individual vehicles, but also the entire fleet, which can be instantly re-scheduled, creating a new fully optimised plan to make the best use of every driver and vehicle resource all of the time. ETAs are then instantly updated as the plan changes, with additional live telematics and traffic information adding to the most accurate delivery scheduling and reporting possible today.
Maxoptra is designed for complex transport operations beyond the scope of traditional routing and scheduling systems, and in particular it manages operations that require complete flexibility to respond to changing needs in real-time. Maxoptra is part of a comprehensive web-based solution that incorporates job despatching, telematics integration, mobile messaging, with live ETA and POD reporting.
Maxoptra enables a move from purely pre-planned to partially or fully real-time operations, as well as offering a host of features to support the transformation, such as job despatch direct to drivers, with in-cab navigation and messaging, and live ETA updating for customers. Being entirely cloud-based, Maxoptra is available from any Internet-connected device.
Maxoptra has been developed by Magenta Technology – a pioneer in the development of dynamic and multi-agent software for managing commercial fleet operations. Magenta’s scheduling solutions manage over 10,000 fleet vehicles worldwide every day. Customers include Gist, Avis Car Rental, Snap On, Serviceline, Walkers Transport and Champion Timber.
