Gulf of America Logistics strengthens leadership and expands statewide

Gulf of America Logistics has announced the appointment of Jake Minner as vice president of operations – specialised transport and trucking, and the opening of a new Baton Rouge office, bringing its statewide network to four locations.

Jake brings 17 years of heavy haul experience from a major industrial carrier, with deep expertise in Louisiana’s energy and petrochemical corridor. He will lead Gulf of America Logistics’ asset based heavy haul transportation division from the Baton Rouge office.

‘Jake has spent nearly two decades doing specialised transport in this state – he knows these roads, these routes, and these clients. That kind of embedded expertise is exactly what Gulf of America Logistics is built on,’ said Brent Patterson, CEO and co-owner.

The company is currently securing port facilities in Cameron Parish, directly adjacent to the Sabine Pass and Cameron LNG terminals, placing it at the epicentre of Louisiana’s LNG investment surge. The firm has also struck exclusive asset based trucking agreements across the Gulf Coast, giving clients direct asset control rather than brokered capacity – a meaningful distinction as equipment availability tightens across the region.

Brent Patterson continued, ‘We saw a gap where out of state firms were winning big contracts while local businesses weren’t seeing the full benefit. Our mission is to close that gap permanently. We are a Louisiana company, hiring Louisiana people, to serve Louisiana projects. No global parent company, no divided loyalties, and no offshore profits.’
