DeliveryApp launches Zippd, evolving its model for a new era of logistics

A UK logistics firm has expanded by 186% in three years, without adding fleets or warehouses. Instead, it has scaled by connecting existing infrastructure into a single, coordinated network. DeliveryApp, which is rebranding to Zippd, has built a model to challenge how the industry has operated for decades.

The growth reflects a broader shift in which traditional models reliant on expanding assets are struggling to keep pace with the speed, flexibility and scale demanded by modern commerce. Fragmented supply chains, rising delivery expectations and the expansion of new age marketplaces are exposing the limits of systems built for a different era, creating pressure on brands to keep up and deliver at scale.

This shift is particularly pronounced in marketplace environments, where dispersed seller networks create operational complexity, but it also affects retailers, who are under increasing pressure to match the delivery standards set by industry giants, without the same infrastructure.

Zippd addresses the changing landscape by connecting brands to a global network of logistics providers, enabling faster collection and fulfilment while reducing marketplace lead times and costs by up to 40%.

The model allows businesses to scale logistics rapidly without building their own infrastructure, replacing traditional constraints with a flexible, network based approach.

In one example, a major e-commerce marketplace launched a fully operational UK logistics network, covering same day delivery and two person operations, in just two weeks, a process that would typically take months under traditional models.

Zippd works with e-commerce brands, global marketplaces and logistics leaders, including THG, Next and Wren Kitchens, enabling brands to scale their fleets and build more flexible operations across the supply chain through a single integration and partnership, without the cost and complexity of traditional logistics models.

Gemma Taylor, co-founder of Zippd, commented: ‘This rebrand is about more than a name change; it reflects how we are evolving with the changing landscape of ecommerce and logistics. New age marketplaces are transforming the commerce landscape, but infrastructure hasn’t kept up. Zippd connects the pieces, bringing together technology, network and operational expertise, delivering a new approach to fulfilment that gives brands more control and flexibility than ever before.’

Zippd is reimagining fulfilment to meet ecommerce brands in the new age, by replacing asset heavy logistics with a more connected and flexible alternative, giving businesses greater control, faster access to scale and the ability to adapt in real time.
