Greenbox secures planning for major logistics unit at flagship Thirsk development

Greenbox has taken another major step forward at its flagship Greenbox Thirsk logistics hub after securing full planning consent from North Yorkshire Council for a new 181,742 sq ft Grade-A industrial unit.

The approval marks another milestone for the ESG-focused developer, following the recent completion of Greenbox Darlington, and reinforces the company’s growing reputation for delivering best-in-class, sustainable logistics and industrial space across the UK.

Located off the A1(M), Greenbox Thirsk sits on a 52-acre site and forms part of a wider three-unit masterplan totalling 820,000 sq ft. The development is being built around strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) credentials, targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’EPC ‘A’, and achieving Net Zero in both construction and operation.

Once completed, the Thirsk scheme will set a new benchmark for modern logistics design, combining high-quality specification with leading sustainability features. The development is expected to appeal to occupiers seeking energy-efficient, future-ready industrial space with excellent transport connectivity to the North East, Yorkshire and the wider UK.
