Bartelina Haulage picks up pace with Krone trailer investment

Bartelina Haulage has continued its fleet expansion with the delivery of two new Krone Box Liner FS10 sliding skeletal container carriers, bringing its total fleet of Krone trailers to six units.

The investment supports the company’s continued growth in the UK container haulage sector and provides the flexibility required to meet a broad range of customer requirements.

Based in Peterborough, Bartelina Haulage is a family owned business run by husband and wife team, Elina and Bartosz Zbaczyniak. Operating a fleet of six trucks and six trailers, the company provides container haulage services across the UK, primarily serving traffic through the ports of Felixstowe and London Gateway.

Explaining the decision to invest in Krone equipment, Elina said: ‘As the business continues to grow, we wanted trailers that could offer the flexibility and reliability needed for container work across different operations. The Krone Box Liners have proved to be a strong fit for our requirements.’

The sliding, extendable chassis design of the trailers enables Bartelina Haulage to transport a wide range of container sizes, from 20ft through to 45ft, providing greater operational flexibility and improved utilisation across the fleet.

‘The versatility of the trailers is a major advantage for us,’ added Elina. ‘Being able to quickly adapt to different container sizes helps maximise efficiency and allows us to respond more effectively to customer requirements.’

A key factor behind the investment was the durability and build quality of the trailers.

‘Krone is a good quality trailer,’ said Elina. ‘The chassis is heavier and more durable than many other trailers on the market, and they have proved to be very reliable in operation.’

Built with robust steel construction, welded cross members and double longitudinal beams, the trailers are designed to withstand the demands of intensive container haulage work. They also benefit from Krone’s 10 year warranty against rust penetration, supporting long term reliability and helping to reduce whole life operating costs.
