DPD UK and Make-A-Wish UK set to go-again following ‘incredible response from staff

Team DPD will fundraise throughout 2026 to help grant another 100 wishes for children with critical illness.

Premium parcel delivery firm DPD has confirmed its partnership with the charity Make-A-Wish® UK will be extended for another 12 months following a huge response from staff which resulted in £200,000 being raised, enabling 100 wishes to be granted for critically ill children in the UK.

Make-A-Wish UK grant life-changing wishes for thousands of critically ill children between the ages of 3 and 17 years, helping families to create lasting memories they will treasure forever. The charity was founded in 1986 and has since granted over 20,000 wishes.

In 2025, DPD staff from all parts of the business were involved in organising and taking part in a wide range of fundraising events including team sky dives and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to sponsored head shaves and cycle rides.

As a result of the success of the partnership and staff feedback, DPD and Make-A-Wish have agreed to go-again and Make-A-Wish will be the DPD staff charity for a second year in 2026.

As DPD’s nominated staff charity, staff across the UK will be raising funds for Make-A-Wish for another 12 months through a variety of events and challenges. DPD has again pledged to match pound for pound the money raised by staff with the overall target set at £200,000, to support Make-A-Wish and help fund another 100 wishes for the charity.

Jason Suckley, CEO of Make-A-Wish UK, commented“Make-A-Wish UK grants life-changing wishes that have the power to rescue the magic of childhood, when it’s needed the most. Each unique wish, whether it’s meeting their idol, going on a dream holiday, or becoming a superhero for the day, allows a child to dream big, no matter what they’re going through.

Our vision is to create a wish for every eligible child, but we can’t achieve this without the dedication of partners like DPD. Since our partnership began in 2025, their commitment, from colleagues out on delivery routes to senior leaders across the business, has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Through matched fundraising, challenge events like skydives, and handson support for wishes, the DPD team has already helped grant more than 100 lifechanging wishes through raising over £200,000. Their support truly means so much, and we were delighted to extend our partnership in January 2026. Together, we can help even more children experience the magic of a wish.”

Justin Pegg, DPD UK CEO, commented:

“I’m absolutely delighted to confirm that DPD will be partnering with Make-A-Wish UK for another year. The response from our team has been incredible. Every year we say that we are blown away by the energy and fundraising efforts, but this has been very special indeed. It is a cause that has undoubtedly touched a lot of people. Family means everything, and I think the chance to help and support other families that are going through the unthinkable in terms of a child being critically ill has inspired people to do amazing things. Thank you again to Jason and his team for letting us go on this journey together and I know that team DPD is ready to go again in 2026!”
