Historic logistics giant lines up “sustained growth” as turnover accelerates past £260m

Turnover has jumped to more than £260m at a logistics giant which has been operating for more than 150 years, with the group confident it can achieve “sustained growth”. 

Davies Turner Plc operates freight forwarding, which comprises trailer services, ocean freight, airfreight forwarding, warehousing, logistics and haulage.

Founded in 1870, the Coleshill-headquartered group operates from a network of 19 strategically placed locations including purpose-built warehouses at Dartford, Heathrow, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Atherstone. 

This is along with a network of regional branches at Bridgend, Dublin, East Midlands, Leeds, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Plymouth, Rotherham and Southampton. 

Accounts filed under Davies Turner Holdings Plc show a turnover of £264m for the year to 31 March 2025, up from £213.3m in 2023. 

Pre-tax profits held steady, dipping slightly from £15.9m to £15.1m. 

A statement signed off by the board said: “The group continues to have a strong market presence through its dedication to customer service, innovative solutions and a strong global network of partners. 

“The group remains focused on driving its growth in market share with continued investment in its multi-modal service offering, and by addressing key challenges and embracing strategic initiatives, the group can secure sustained growth and maintain its reputation as a leading player in the market.”
