With less than a week to go until doors open, anticipation is building for the free Innovation and Technology in Transport (ITT) Hub event – the largest show of its kind in 40 years. To be held at the world-famous Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, the event will take place on 30 June 2021 and 1 July 2021.

The event will showcase more than 150 exhibitors and will include an extensive Government Hub, where key departments such as the Department for International Trade and Department for Transport will be available to share expert insight into the full range of government assistance available for transport companies.

Making its UK and European show debut, following a successful online launch, is the New Generation DAF range of trucks. Several other ground-breaking vehicles will also be making their show debuts, including vehicles from world-leading manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz Bus & Coach – who will be showing their eCitaro, as well as unveiling, live on screen, their new eActros truck – and Volta Trucks who will be showing their Volta Zero truck.

ITT Hub will also host Logistics UK’s Future Logistics Conference, which features an impressive line-up of more than 30 speakers, including British astronaut, Major Tim Peake CMG and senior representatives from leading organisations such as National Grid, Highways England and DHL. Kevin Green, Marketing & Communications Director at Logistics UK, comments:

“With decarbonisation a high priority across the transport and logistics sector, and the continuous development of various new technologies, ITT Hub is the ideal event to bring industry together to celebrate the progress being made in this incredibly dynamic sector. The sessions and conversations that will be taking place during the Future Logistics Conference will no doubt help to set the agenda for the future of our sector as we move forward in these exciting times. We strongly urge those who have not yet registered for the event, to sign up now.”

Taking place on separate roadways at the event – one for buses, coaches and vans and another for trucks – will be the highly anticipated Ride & Drive, offering visitors the opportunity to drive some of the most cutting-edge vehicles, including the world’s first hydrogen double decker bus, a 100% electric 16 tonne truck and various innovative electric vans. With 14 top vehicle manufacturers confirmed to be taking part, including IVECO, Renault Trucks, Ford, Pelican Yutong, Harris Maxus, BYD, Alexander Dennis and Schmitz Cargobull, it is not to be missed.

Alongside the Ride & Drive will be an Autonomous and Last-Mile Electric Hub, allowing visitors the chance to test ride electric scooters and motorbikes designed for couriers and meal deliveries, as well as last-mile electric cargo trikes and a fully autonomous passenger pod.

Mark Griffin CEO, Binswood Media comments: “We are proud to be hosting so many products being unveiled for the first time in the UK. We cannot wait to open the doors on this eagerly anticipated event. With so many interactive elements, a fantastic line up of expert speakers and the presence of government departments, this really does promise to be truly unique and utterly unmissable.”

All visitors wanting to try a vehicle for themselves will need to pre-arrange a test drive with the exhibitor at the event and have their driving licence checked and approved at the Licence Bureau stand on site. Please ensure you bring a valid driving licence and driver qualification card with you. Drug and alcohol safety experts from AlcoDigital will be providing testing services for the Ride & Drive test facility, using its innovative range of testing products to deliver quick and reliable results.

In line with the current government guidelines, ITT Hub 2021 falls within step three of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown.
